The app and user

Hi Adam! What's your elevator pitch?

At Femometer, we're on a mission to empower women with personalised, proactive, and preventative healthcare services at every stage of womanhood. We offer a range of high-quality, innovative products and services that help women with their cycles, weight, skin-care, and many other healthcare issues. With our AI and experts, you'll get personalised insights and recommendations based on your unique data. It's like having a healthcare homepage of your own.

Why does the market need it?

At every stage of womanhood, Femometer has both hardware and software solutions. Women's health has historically been overlooked and underserved in the healthcare industry. When it comes to women's health, people think of gynaecological diseases or pregnancy, but women's health goes beyond. For instance, users can understand how their mood and symptoms change during the cycle and adapt to this. Also, Femometer has a "partner mode", where your partner can see your symptoms in the app and get a deeper understanding of women's healthcare and provide support.

Where is the business today?

We currently have solutions for mental health, reproductive health, skin health, sexual health and nutritional health based on our medical devices and apps. Up to now, we‘ve helped 242,271 users to get successfully pregnant and helped women lose 246223.98kg of weight.

What made you think there was money in this?

Femometer originally started as an app that intelligently records body temperature to help women who are trying to conceive get pregnant. Through our user engagement we realised women's health and wellbeing needs are hardly ever met. There is a growing demand for women's healthcare products and services, driven in part by increased awareness of women's health issues and the need for more personalised, patient-centred care. Societal norms around women's health are changing, with more emphasis being placed on prevention, early detection, and personalised care. This shift in attitudes and priorities creates opportunities for businesses that can meet the evolving needs of women.

What's your biggest strength?

Firstly, the Femometer app is integrated with our hardware, which allows for automatic data transfer and eliminates the need for manual data entry. This makes the tracking process more convenient and accurate. Secondly, the app utilises powerful AI algorithms to analyse user data and provide personalised insights and recommendations. These algorithms are designed to identify patterns and trends in user data, helping women better understand their cycles and body signals. The app provides users with access to expert opinions and advice. Femometer works with a team of medical professionals and experts to ensure that the insights and recommendations provided to users are accurate and up-to-date. Overall, the Femometer App's strengths lie in its ability to provide accurate and convenient tracking, personalised insights and recommendations based on AI algorithms, and expert opinions and advice. These features make the app a valuable tool for women who want to take control of their health and wellness.

What is the secret to making the business work?

User experience is key for us. We have a dedicated user experience team to engage with our users.

How do you market the company?

Social media: Femometer has a strong presence on social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Tiktok, where we promote our products and engage with our target audience.
Influencer partnerships: Femometer partners with influencers in the women's health and wellness space to promote our products and reach new audiences.
Organic traffic: Most Femometer apps have sharing features to allow users to share with family and friends. Additionally, once using a Femometer app, we have found that our users tend to try on other Femometer apps, which creates a natural flow of organic traffic.

Tell us about the business model

Femometer's business model is based on a combination of hardware and software products and services. On the hardware side, Femometer offers a range of innovative and easy-to-use devices for tracking women's health, including thermometers, ovulation prediction kits, kegel exercise devices, and so on. These products are designed to be accurate, reliable, and user-friendly, and are an essential part of Femometer's overall solution for proactive, personalised, and preventative healthcare. Femometer's business model is primarily based on selling its hardware products and charging a subscription fee for access to its premium software features, such as personalised insights and recommendations. By leveraging AIoT technology and data analytics, Femometer is able to deliver personalised, proactive, and preventative healthcare solutions that empower women to take control of their health and achieve their goals.

What is the future vision?

On International Women's Day 2023, Femometer introduced a new feature to optimise user experience. Working with Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch Ultra technology, wrist temperatures are taken automatically in the morning and uploaded into the user’s Femometer account showing peak ovulation times and the best days to try to conceive.

With this new feature, users can easily track their menstrual cycle, identify their fertile window, and receive personalised insights and recommendations based on their unique data. Additionally, the Femometer CBT Therapy has recently integrated chatGPT into the APP. Lori, the AI pal, will focus on identifying and challenging negative thinking patterns and guiding users to replace them with positive thinking patterns. Lori's main goal is to help users overcome anxiety by providing them with a secure and supportive environment. Users can chat with Lori at any time, and she will respond with a sympathetic and understanding attitude, provide personalised feedback, and provide suggestions based on user input. Likewise, many other Femometer apps will optimise AI technology to provide more personalised insights for users.

We are also expanding product lines to relationships, menopause, and many other needs in relation to women's health.
